Winston George Innis of Brooklyn, New York passed away on November 25, 2021.

Winston George was born March 6, 1941 in the lush island of Jamaica, in the
parish of Kingston. He was born to the late Charles and Druscella Innis, one of 9
children. On the morning of November 25, 2021, after a prolong illness, Winston
crossed the great divide that separates us from eternity. He received a heavenly
escort out of his frail bodily tent and is presently resting with the Lord. The Bible
declares. "Oh, death where is thy sting? Oh, grave where is thy victory?" 1
Corinthians 15. As a child, Winston attended Denham Town primary school,
thereafter he went to a Trade school to learn the skills of carpentry. Winston
excelled in carpentry and built his mother her first dining room sets. At the age of
19, Winston migrated to England to be with his Father, there he excelled in
carpentry and had his own establishment for many years. In the Summer of 1975,
he migrated to the United States and lived in Brooklyn, New York. Winston was
employed by New York City District Council where he was a supervisor for the
local union. He worked there for over 40 years until his retirement in 2008.
Winston also had additional jobs where he enjoys remodeling kitchen, bathroom,
built cabinets, and upholstery of furniture. He has a green thumb and a love for
gardening, and grew his own herbs and spices for cooking. He loved watching
boxing, wrestling, UFC was his favorite. He was also a big fan of Cricket, and he
enjoyed going to the gym. Winston was a hardworking, dedicated man and a
great provider for his family.
Winston is survived by his children Anthony Innis, Paulette Innis, Savannah Innis-
Jeremie, and Jade Innis, 2-granddaughters and 3-grandsons, son-in-law John
Jeremie, sisters Veronica Johnson, Myrtle Innis, Ruby Grant and brother Herman
Innis; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, grate nephews, other family
and friends.
You will be missed from this earth, but you will never be forgotten by us. We will
continue to whisper your name in our hearts for the rest of our lives. We love you
but Jesus loves you best. Good bye dear father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
