Willie Frederick Boyd, known to most as "Junior", departed this life at the age of 53 on June 12th, 2021 at his home in Cleveland, Ohio, after a valiant battle against cancer. Junior was born September 9th, 1967 in Manhattan, New York and was the only son of Willie and Gloria Boyd.
Junior was raised in the Bronx, New York where he attended Walton High School. He worked a host of different jobs with his last employment at Con-Selmor, a large company that makes brass instruments. He was gifted with the ability to mold intricate pieces together effortlessly. Junior was an avid basketball and football fan. He loved music and dee-jayed for many events. In Ohio, every

, he would play music at his home and the neighbors would join him in the backyard and stand around the house enjoying his gift. Junior was a master at chess, which he played weekly to defend his championship.
Junior never lost self respect and stood up for the underdogs. He was funny, protective, strong and a force to be reckoned with.
During his earlier years in the Bronx, he met his first love Chrissy, they produced one son, Shaquille. Later in life, he met his last love Joy, whom he married in Ohio and with whom he lived out his life. Of these unions, he became the stepfather of many who loved him dearly. Junior is survived by his wife - Joy Boyd, his mother - Gloria Boyd, his sister - Darlene Brewster, his son - Shaquille Mccleod, his grand uncle, Lawyer Porter, his paternal aunt Sandra Thomas and his stepchildren - Felicia, Aaron, Jonathan, Myra, Chaz, Victoria, and Mojo with Demario preceded him in death. His grandchildren are Unique, Kiara, Chloe, Angelique, Maddox, Kayden, Chassity, Gio, King, Chase, Saint, Elijah, Charles, Ja'mia, Nasir and Sincere. Junior leaves behind a host of other family and friends.
