In Loving Memory Of Vosper Maudline Woods Jeffers Today, we celebrate the life of Vosper Maudlin Woods Jeffers, aged 67, who departed this world on 17 November 2024. He was a man of boundless curiosity, an untamed spirit, and unwavering love. At an early age, he chose Rastafarianism as his spiritual guide. His deep beliefs were reflected in his hairstyle, his eating habits, and his change of name. He then became known as Ababa in his early twenties. His early career as a mechanic and driver of large tractors started at Higgs and Hill, a British construction company in his native land, St. Kitts. His curiosity to explore the world was irresistible, and he leveraged his mechanic skills to venture out by working on boats. His colorful and vivid experiences influenced his decision to migrate to the United States Virgin Islands and the United States of America, where he resided. Vosper was a devoted father to his five children. He was their steadfast guide and most prominent supporter in every way he could. He struggled and sacrificed to provide for his family. He was a loving soul to his family and friends, expressing his care through constant questions and jokes, and he had a knack for making everyone feel special. All who had the privilege of knowing him will cherish his unique laughter and warm presence forever. We will never forget his refrain at the end of every encounter, “I love you.” He leaves behind his children: Akimba, Tysha, Ababa, Maisie, and Finesse; eleven (11) grandchildren: Lasha, Brianna, Nasir, Joshua, Oscar, Louis, Angel, King, Zoey, Bria, and Adonis; sisters including Brenda, Julie, Tshai, Althea, Barbara, Keturah, Denise and many others in the United States; brothers including Ronald and Earl; and many nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends whose lives he enriched. May his journey continue in eternal peace, and may we all carry forward the lessons he taught us: to love deeply and live with curiosity and humor. Thank you for your presence and warm support in honoring the extraordinary man who touched many lives. Rest in power, Vosper Maudline Woods Jeffers, affectionately known as Ababa. Your legacy of love and adventure will live on in our hearts. www.tcarrillofuneralservice.com
