THERESA CHINA was born March 21, 1965 in Sumter, SC to Ms. Ethel M. Lee and Willie China, Sr. Theresa was the oldest of five children.
She was relocated to Newark, NJ and later relocated to Brooklyn, NY where she attended public school. Theresa graduated from Bay Ridge High School. She later furthered her education by attending Royal Business School for Accounting, Stenography and Shorthand. Theresa later worked as a clerk for Blue Cross and Blue Shield before starting her career as a security guard at Macy’s and later becoming a supervisor. Theresa later worked a variety of jobs while raising her family.
Theresa attended Greater Bibleway Temple as a child and became a member in 2011. She later joined the Usher Board where she served faithfully. She enjoyed praying on various prayer lines, including the Amazing Miracle prayer line.
Theresa was known for her friendly smile and love for everybody, especially for her family and friends. She was also known for her generosity, literally giving the coat off her back.
Theresa leaves to cherish her memory her mother Ethel; her father Willie Sr.; her four children, Ebony (Tyrone), Cynthia (Joseph), Antoinette and Michael; her grandchildren, Jayden, Kiearah, Josiah, Jeremiah, Kartier and Justin; her godsons, Jeffery and Jaiden; her siblings, Carolyn (Weldon), Willie Jr. (Tiffiny), Jeffery (Christina) and Gregory (Bettsy); seven nieces, five nephews, nine aunts, seven uncles, a host of cousins, friends and close friends Shirley, Gloria, Carla and Rena.
