Roberta Emily Hill was born on April 20, 1938 to Harry Lee Brown Sr, and Hazel Amanda Mosely-Brown in Brooklyn, New York. Roberta was the fourth child of her parent's nine children and known by many names but most affectionately known as Re Re, Berta, Aunt Berta and Diva FireWalker to the Trucked Out Auto Club.
Roberta received her education from Girls High H.S. in Brooklyn, New York. During these years she met her future husband, Curtis Hill. Roberta and Curtis later married on February 26, 1967. From their union they created a loving family of seven children. Roberta spent her entire adult years with her husband Curtis until his transition in August 2006.
During the many years of Roberta's joyful life she loved spending time with her children, siblings and nieces and nephews. Whether those times were at one another's homes, BBQing for picnics at Prospect Park or Orchard Beach where she taught her husband Curtis how to grill, everyone felt the love she gave. Roberta loved cooking and preparing meals for her husband and children her favorite dish to cook was whatever was on the menu. However, for her husband she loved to cook his favorite dishes: Shrimp Gumbo, Spaghetti with Italian Sausage, Fried Porgies, and Stewed Okra. Roberta also enjoyed reading mystery books that she often traded with her siblings, Harry Jr. Joy and Michael. Roberta liked to play Bid Whist with her husband, Curtis, against Benjamin and Naomi Lyons. She enjoyed traveling throughout the Caribbean and Canada, as well as drawing art. Roberta also enjoyed going to karaoke, spending time with her friends Beverly Darby, Matthew Carter, Agnes Collins, and a host of friends at the V.A. Medical Center in Brooklyn and special friend Christopher Collins. The family would also be remiss not to mention how much Roberta loved spending time with her husband's nieces and nephews who at one time or another some thought and believed that their Aunt Roberta was their biological aunt and her husband, Uncle Curtis was the uncle by marriage. After being convinced by her sister Joy, Roberta went to work as a home attendant for several years before settling in at the V.A. Hospital in 1987 and retired 20 years later in 2007.
