Téa Cruz peacefully and gracefully took the hand of her Lord and savior on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at the young age of 18.
Téa Daniella Cruz was born on February 24, 2000 in Brooklyn, New York to the parents of Tynisha Rogers Cruz and the late Daniel Cruz. Téa was the eldest of three daughters. Téa sisters are Suvana and Angel.
She studied within the New York City public school system until she enrolled in the Hallen School in New Rochelle, New York. This is where she experienced growth and built her confidence, feeling free to fully show her true personality that everyone grew to love. When she turned 14, she was so excited to start working. Her first job was at the Red Hook Initiative (RHI), a non-profit organization that focuses on youth development supported through community building efforts. It was there that she was able to touch the hearts of the staff, inspire people's lives and express herself though the Fashion Club, Cooking class and Workshops where she spoke to young people, sharing her struggles with the three A's: Asthma, Anxiety and Autism and how she never let those three A's stop her from living her best life.
And of course, her tiara collection would never be forgotten. She always felt any day was a great day to wear a tiara and just be yourself.
On the evening of August 22, 2018 at Methodist Hospital, with the assistant from her family that had passed before her, Father Danny, Grandmother Portia Rogers, Grandfather Daniel Cruz and Great-Grandfather Percy Rogers and Great-Grandmother Nettie Rogers was there to help her transition to the world of eternal life. We will always love and remember her in our thoughts, hearts and how beautiful and wonderful her smile lights up a room.
Téa leaves to cherish her loving memory: her mother Tynisha Rogers-Cruz, her two sisters, Suvana and Angel Cruz. Her grandparents: Percy Rogers and his wife Joanna, Thurman Simpson, and Mercedes Cruz.
