Lourdes Maria Lebron 70 years old passed away surrounded by loved ones on
Monday, March 21, 2022 after a two-year battle with cancer.
Born May 19, 1951 in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico, Lourdes was the daughter of
Juan Cruz LeBron and Nilda Rodriguez. She was the oldest of two siblings,
brother Jimmy Lebron and sister Jeanette Diaz. At the age of 16 she moved
to the Bronx. She graduated James Monroe high school and received a
certificate for typing.
Lourdes worked for the Board of Education, and Bronx Lebanon hospital while
raising her two children Kim and Michael. She dedicated her life to being a
loving, caring, selfless mother.
She enjoyed listening to music, shopping, gardening and cooking.
Lourdes will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her willingness to help
others, her stubborn personality, her delicious pineapple chicken, and that
tight hug that says your home.
Lourdes is survived by her daughter Kim Vargas, two granddaughters Devin &
Gabriella Vargas, great- grandson Christopher, her son Michael Santiago, two
grandsons Maddox & Myles Santiago, her mother Nilda Rodriguez, brother
Jimmy Lebron and sister Jeanette Diaz.
