It is with great sadness that we announce that Juan Bolaños, 80, of Bronx, New
York passed away on March 29, 2020, after a three-year battle with lung cancer.
Juan was born on May 8, 1939, to Heriberta Dominguez- Martinez and Rogelio
Bolaños - Aldrich in Bainoa, Cuba.
In 1961, he met Maria Julia Diaz, and they wed in 1962, going on to have four
children, Juan Carlos, Lirian, Ana, and Maricela. Before and after retiring, Juan
loved to go fishing and refurbish/remodel vehicles. One of his longest-running
projects was to restore a 1970 Volkswagen bus. When he wasn’t doing either, he
loved spending time with his grandchildren. Juan is pre-deceased by his parents,
his wife, his sister Narcissa, and his beloved mother-in-law.
He is survived by; his brother Luis, his sister, Noelia; his four children, Juan Carlos,
Lirian, Ana and Maricela, and his six grandchildren; Juan Carlos (JC), Luis,
Alexandria (Lexi), Orlando, Kirabo and Jasmine.
