Jesus Vargas

Jesús came to NYC as a young man in his twenties from the beautiful coastal town of Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico and settled in the Upper West Side.  He was a humble man from humble beginnings in search of a better life.   He was a loyal employee of the Waldorf Astoria where he spent the majority of his working years as a dishwasher in their upscale restaurant.
He loved fishing, salsa music, long walks, red wine, playing dominoes and watching TV.   He is survived by 2 children, 3 stepchildren, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He will forever be remembered for the delicious Christmas Ham he cooked and shared during the holidays.  His gentle loving presence will be missed.
