Emily Robinson was born on July 16,1957 to Inez Hill and Rayman Chester Hill in the Bronx New York. She was born while her parents lived in Bronx River houses and later moved to Webster houses, where she was raised and made many lifetime friendships. She attended public school 53 as a child and went on to intermediate school 145 and Walton High school, It was during that time she met her husband Ernest Robinson and they would wed in 1975. Emily went through her working years and held a position in retail and later worked for many years with several home care agencies including R.A.I.N, personal touch and Morningside. It was no surprise due to Emily’s loving, nurturing and pleasant demeanor that she would choose a career path helping others. Emily was loved by many always smiling and ready to joke. Emily was very passionate about family. Always checking on everybody and wanted to make sure everyone was ok. Emily was a grandmother of many (nana) was always there for her grandchildren. She also was a dancer and loved a variety of music. She would always make her way to the middle of the floor at every event. She was quick to pull someone to dance or challenge you to dance off. She had a signature dance that would make anyone just crack up in laughter. She would turn the music up and the party would begin. Her house was often referred to as mommy’s where you would get to experience everything from good music, dancing and food.
Preceding her in death and going home to glory was her husband Ernest Robinson, mother Inez Hill, Father Rayman Chester Hill, and brothers Vincent Hill, Wayne Hill and Michael Hill.
Emily leaves to cherish many great memories her children, Tamesha Robinson-Blunt, Latarsha Robinson, Twana Robinson, Kenya Robinson, Nafisa Robinson, Brendan Robinson. Her grandchildren Aisha, Kendell, William, Jordyn, Amir, Aniyah, Ashley, Jayquan, Treyvaughn, Anthony, Kamiah, Alexis, Jayden, Kingsley, Nova and Modesty. Great grandchildren Quadir and Blessyn. One sister Albertha Hill, One brother Rayman Hill. One son in law Randy Blunt. two sisters in law Deborah Hill and Wilhelmina Hill and a host of nieces and nephews.
