Obituary - Donald A. Hurlock
On Tuesday, November 2, 2021, the Hurlock family lost a stalwart to natural causes. Donald Augustin “Yout” Hurlock died peacefully at home in his sleep following a lengthy health battle.
Donald was born in St. James Jamaica, W.I. on February 23, 1952 to parents Douglas and Martha Hurlock. He was the third of ten (10) children. After graduating the Sudbury All Age school he attended seconda
Donald met the love of his life, Marrocul Troupe, in 1977. They later went on get married and had one daughter. He was a devoted family man who sacrificed a lot for those he loved. Following multiple years return trip, he finally made the difficult decision to migrate to the United States, where he worked at the Western Auto for a total of 31 years before retiring in 2019.
Donald is survived by his mother Martha Hurlock; wife of 39 years, Marrocul Hurlock; daughter Tashalee Hurlock-Allen; son-in-law Okoyo Allen; grandchildren Jaydene and Robyn Allen; siblings Neville, Kenneth, Lloyd, Charles, Yvonne, Merlene, Dawn, Margaret and Marva; as well as countless other extended family members and friends.
He was passionate about family, sports and staying socially informed. He spent the last two years of his life in the company of his family and friends. Donald is a humble, loving and devoted son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He will be affectionately remembered and missed.
