Catherine Lewis, born 1966 to Jimmy lee Taylor. A sweet girl and Harlem born citizen who shared her childhood with her just later born brother Vance (sonny) Lewis, someone who saw him as her protector in a simple apparent in upper east harlem.
While those the times were tough she in the early 80’s received a sister Ebony Lewis just as she went off to college in upstate New York just as the 80’s were ending unable to finish as in 1991 she received her first blessing her son Vance L. (Poppy) Lewis. Named after her brother.
Through church and work as a home health care provider, she managed to carve out a life for herself till life bought Victor S. Lint on into her life . Which lead to a wonder daughter she called Ethiopia J. (Jellybean) Lewis. As she constructed a life for her and her children through god and through love in a family circle.
Catherine loved gospel, the church , and loved her fellow neighbor. As she would frequent help others with less than her or take the time from her day to talk and find out their life story. She loved jazz music , soul & gospel music, you could frequently find her snapping or dancing listing to lyrics and melody. She worked hard to fight for a dream home that she would spend her twilight years among her grand children and purchased clothing and a variety of home goods to set her table and walls with.
A beloved woman often taking care of others than taking care of herself hopefully lived a full life as a great mother , woman & provider both genuine and careful.
