Brian Eugene Gilliam

May 7, 1982 — June 4, 2018

Brian Eugene Gilliam Was born May 7, 1982 in New York City at Union Hospital Bronx, NY to Robert Gilliam Sr. and Lisa Fields- Knowles. Brian was raised in New York City where he attended Public School 134, Junior High School 158, and Fannie Lou Hammer High School in the Bronx.

As a child Brian would love to explore parks and venues for things he found interesting. When around his cousins and family he would tell weird but meaningful jokes all the time. Brian was very unique in his own way, and he would march to his own beat. He lived his life with a carefree spirit. Brian was also an avid walker, we would often joke with him about how far he would come to see his family by foot. Video games were Brian’s specialty, he loved to play all night and sleep all day. Anyone who knows Brian knows that he loved rap music especially Eminem and DMX.

Brian eventually moved on from the New York City life and relocated to West Virginia. He met his girlfriend Sara Steele and they had their son Justin, whom he loved dearly and boasted about to everyone. Brian made West Virginia his final home where he began to take sick to a lengthy illness. Brian had battled a long time with his illness; however he would carry himself as if nothing was wrong.
