Alfred, 53, was born on November 25, 1967 to Alfred K. Hobbs Sr. and Beverly A. Russell. He was raised in The Bronx and Queens, NY along with his 3 cherished siblings Beverly F. Hobbs , Nichole A. Hobbs and David L. Taylor.

Throughout his formative years, Alfred Rasheim attended 159 Jr High School in Queens and Morris High School in The Bronx. He would then manifest into a devout leader and life-long learner in congruence with the Five Percent Nation for over 40 years. Alfred Rasheim served as an educator, publisher, mentor and historian impacting the lives of many people throughout his community. As a brother of The Five Percent Nation he served as the National Archives Producer for The Universal Parliament of The Nation of God’s and Earth’s. Alfred Rasheim teachings encompassed history, politics, health, education, economics and financial literacy, making him a well-versed man.  In addition to his devotion to The Five Percent Nation, Alfred had an abundance of accolades including his publication in The Light of Son and throughout his works in his organization Leadership as a People. In compliance with his good deeds, Alfred had the liberty to interview councilmen, civil rights leaders, community activists and common folk.  His tireless works aided in the empowerment and betterment of countless brothers and sisters. Alfred Rasheim K. Hobbs Jr. encouraged those around him to elevate their lives,  families, and communities as productive men and women in society.

Alfred Rasheim was a family man, holding a big influence on his younger siblings, relatives and cultural community. Throughout his good deeds, community outreach and cultural affiliations some may have known Alfred as Rasheim and/or IAMALL. He is especially known for defusing arguments and promoting unity and peace. As Alfred would say, “We are one, family doesn’t fight”. Alfred loved passing time by writing books, reading, listening to speeches, and fetching knowledge. Alfred Rasheim will be remembered most for his passion for knowledge, tailored suit and hat collection, and his “smell-good”. You knew when Alfred was around because his cologne was unmistakable. You could smell him before you saw him.

Alfred Rasheim K. Hobbs Jr. passed away peacefully on May 19th,  2021, in the comfort of his own home in The Bronx, New York.

Alfred Rasheim had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. He  is survived by his mother, Beverly A. Russell; sisters, Beverly F. Hobbs and Nichole A. Hobbs ; brother, David L. Taylor; nephews, Tariq A. Hobbs , Colin A. Haynes Jr., Destin K. Taylor and a host of other relatives and friends.  No one who met him forgot his infectious passions and desire for change. Alfred K. Hobbs Jr. will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
