Our beloved "STAR", Chezray Don-Tue Gerald was born to Pastor Harry L. Gerald and Prophetess A R. Gerald on May 27, 1982 in Brooklyn, NY. He was the youngest of five children.
Raised on Long Island, Chezray was educated through the Uniondale Public School District. His high school classmates would describe him as a vibrant and expressive individual. He had a love for theatrics and an incredible passion for singing. "Chezzi Chez", affectionately known by his family and friends, participated in school plays such as "Fame" and starred in "The Wiz" making an everlasting impression. Make-up was another special endeavor. You would have found him on the Wendy William Show for a short stint working his craft. it became official when he graduated from the Hair Design Institute in July 2014
If you knew Chezray you would agree that he was full of life, with a vibrant personality. He flashed his million dollar smile, possessed a quick wit and let's not forget that witty tongue as well! However, if you were discouraged he would find the right words to encourage you. If you were upset he would make you laugh through your tears. If your heart was broken he would bring comfort through song. Chezray was known to be the life of the party! He gave selflessly time and time again..... Often times neglecting himself to ensure the next person was on their way to recovery....
It was a long hard battle fought, but not once did he ever complain. He even continued to encourage others while lying on his own bed of affliction. Regretfully, on Tuesday, September 15th at 5:46am, surrounded by loved ones, God's angels arrived to carry him back home to God the Father for eternity.
Chezray leaves to mourn, his Father, Pastor Harry L. Gerald; mother, Prophetess A. R. Gerald; sister, Altanya M. Gerald-Burgess (Keith H. Burgess); brothers- John L. Horton, Patrick M. Gerald (Kesha D. Gerald) and Kyle Gerald; nieces, Marsha D. Gerald, Janelle, Janae and Tyme, Horton, Tashe and Kyla; nephews, Taevon J. Fanfan, Sedrick and Josh Horton, Tyler and Kyle Gerald Jr. ; great niece and nephew Leah Horton and Sedrick Horton Jr. As well as a great nephew-to-be Jeremiah J. Fanfan; a combined total of 21 aunts and uncles; too many cousins to count and an unlimited number of friends.
Chezray is now walking the streets paved with gold singing joyfully, showing up all the angels as he walks hand in hand with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the presence of Almighty God our Heavenly Father....
