Margaret Michelle Williams

March 8, 1960 — February 9, 2015

Our mother Margaret Michelle Williams was born on March 8, 1960 to Ellen and George Williams in North Carolina. Margaret was the second eldest child but the first born girl to Ellen and George Williams. In her early years of life, Margaret , her six brothers , mother and her sister moved to New York City on 114th street between 7th and 8th Avenue. After living there for some time, they all moved to 1909 West 154th between 155th street in Amsterdam Avenue where Margaret continued to live until she moved out on her own some time in her mid twenties. She relocated to 2430 7th Avenue (Drew Hamilton Projects) with her two daughters. Several years later, at age 32, her only son was born. Unbeknownst to many, Margaret also served in the National Guard, and was stationed in Texas. She often expressed her joy in serving the Country. When Margaret died on February 9, 2014, she left behind three children: Enjoli, Quenae and Alante. She also left behind three grand children Azmere, Briley and Liberty. Margaret is also survived by: her mom, five brothers( Darryl, Derrick, Gary, Kenny and Larry), several nieces and nephews, many great- nieces & great-nephews, cousins and her Aunt Cynthia. Margaret was a mother figure to many. Margaret is preceded in death by our angels: Aunt Mona, sister Yvette , nephew Timothy, her grandmother Dora Ferguson and brother Vernon. Margaret was a sweet heart who took any and everybody underneath her wing. Margaret would feed the world if she was able to do so. A NOTE FROM HER CHILDREN: "To us our mother wasn't like all mothers, aunts, grandmothers sisters and daughters. To us she was beyond special. Margaret was there for whomever. I'm going to miss that Margaret. It's funny because our mother was also a hoarder. She kept things that should've went straight into the garbage. " "My sister Quenae was just saying how she would duct tape things just to continue to save it. Just like she duct taped thing to keep it together, Margaret was that duct tape to keeping the Williams family together and bonded. Margaret would stress herself till the end, if this family didn't get along. Like all families , we had and have issues, but Margaret didn't want us to be like other families. She wanted us to be sane. " "Margaret wanted this family to be crazy but not with each other. When our mother died she passed because of a bad heart but, when she died she had millions of wishes of how she wanted things but, her one wish that was most important was for all her family members to continue to stick together as one. She doesn't want us to continue to be separated. So she had me make a promise that the day she goes on to be with Almighty God , that I will continue on with her legacy! " "Mommy from me to you, I'll try my hardest to do what you did! Margaret just to let you know, WE ALL LOVE YOU TO THE FULLEST AND YOU WILL TRULY BE MISSED! " www.tcarrillofuneralservice.com
